By now, the SNES Classic Mini has been out for a couple of days and I was lucky enough to get it on day one. And when I say that I was lucky I do really mean that. To get mine I decided to pre-order it online and I only did that a day prior to its release!
The next day I went to pick it up at the retail store but before that, I decided to take a look at how many SNES were there in the store. There were none! And then I went to another nearby store and they had the same issue!
After realizing how lucky I was I grabbed my SNES and went home immediately to try it out. I still couldn't believe that I had one and that finally, I would be able to play so many great games that I never had the chance to play before!
The moment I turned it on I knew what game to play first, Super Metroid! I've been wanting to play this since I beat Metroid 2 in mid-August! I didn't play much of it right away though. Despite my love for Metroid, there were other games that needed my attention as well.
After a while, I was feeling overwhelmed by the number of great games this tiny system had in it! Sword of Mana, Earthbound, Mario Kart, Mega Man X, Street Fighter 2, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past, and so many more!

Believe me when I say that the SNES Classic is more than worth it. It might have fewer games than the NES Classic but I truly believe that the games it has will net you far more gameplay time.
Also, I was planning on taking a couple of more photos to show it off but in the end, I decided not to. Instead here's a gameplay video of Yoshi's Island on the SNES Classic!
